Stewardship of Treasure

Our practice of the Stewardship of Time encourages us to reserve a percentage of every 24 hour day for prayer, the reading of scripture, spiritual reading, and other acts of worship and thanksgiving, including regular celebration of the Sacraments.

When we consider our participation in stewardship, we need to include our time, as well as our talent and treasure. Giving a portion of our time back to God expresses our gratitude to the God who has given us the gift of time ... which is just another way of saying the gift of our life!

Stewardship in general is based on the understanding that all that we have and all that we are is a gift from God – our time, our talent, our money and even the gift of life itself. We show our gratitude for these gifts by returning a portion of them back to God.
