Word on Fridays

We are blessed to have a pastor who loves to teach.  Fr. Matthew offers a weekly session on Friday evenings which he calles "Word on Fridays". Topics for these sessions have included a series on Church History, The Acts of the Apostles, How Catholics Read the Bible,  An Introduction to the Beliefs of Catholicism, the Writings of John, and several video series by Bishop Robert Baron (who was one of Fr. Matthew's teachers in the seminary). Additionally, Fr. Matthew shared a video presentation of his visit to the Holy Land this past summer.

Most sessions are at Holy Disciples, but occasionally (especially by request) Fr. Matthew will present the same material at Our Lady of Good Counsel.

No need to attend every week. Drop in when you can.

Now studying:   The program will resume after Christmas Break. Topic is yet to be determined.

Fridays, 7:00-8:00 PM  Classroom #3 at Holy DIsciples

Scripture Study Groups

Our mission is to deepen our understanding of The Word of God and to make it a reality in our daily lives. We accomplish this through reading scripture, personal sharing, prayer, and giving to others as needed in our community and the world.

For more information about joining the group please talk with
Dorothy Hesseltine after Mass on Sunday
